An L-shaped standing desk in over 100 colours — every one the same price
The ErgoFlex is our laminate L-shape: a tri-motor steel frame with a wrap-around top that turns a corner into a full workstation. It does the same job as our Solid Wood L-Shaped Standing Desk for roughly half the money, and it opens up a colour range no timber desk can match.
Most L-shaped height adjustable desks in Singapore come in four or five finishes. Ours come in more than a hundred, and choosing any of them costs exactly the same and takes exactly the same three to four weeks.
Why a hundred colours matters more on an L-shape
An L-shaped desk is the largest piece of furniture in most rooms it goes into — two arms, each 1400 to 1800 mm long. It does not sit quietly in a corner; it defines the corner.
With four options you pick the least wrong one and live with it across that much surface area. With a hundred you can match what is already there — the flooring, the built-in joinery, the rest of the office — so the desk reads as part of the room rather than a large appliance dropped into it.
It matters most in three situations:
- Matching existing furniture. A specific oak, a specific walnut, a particular grey. Off-the-shelf ranges almost never have it; a hundred-swatch book usually does.
- Office fit-outs. Company colours, or department coding across a floor, without a custom-finish premium on every unit.
- Rooms where the desk should disappear. A true white or a true black, matched to the wall or the joinery.
Neither a true white nor a true black exists in solid timber at all. On a surface this large, that is the one place laminate genuinely beats real wood.
How to choose your colour
There is no colour picker on this page, and that is deliberate — a handful of swatches in a dropdown would badly understate what you can actually have.
The photographs here show six of them — Walnut, Mahogany, Teak, Warm White, Maple and Black — in both leg colours. That is a starting point, not the range.

No finish costs more than any other, and none adds time to the build.
The corner is the argument
A straight desk makes you choose between screen space and working space. An L-shape gives you both without taking more floor area, because it uses the corner that was already dead space — monitor and keyboard on the long run, paperwork or a second screen on the return.
It also changes how the height adjustment works in practice. Two surfaces at one height means you can stand and still reach everything, with no shuffling sideways and no leaning past a monitor arm.
Both arms are 600 mm deep, and the desk is square in plan, so it sits properly into a corner rather than jutting into the room.

The overall figure is the full outside length of each arm. The inner length is the clear run from the corner outward — useful when you are working out whether the desk fits between a wall and a doorway.
Three motors, not two
Every leg on this frame is driven. Many L-shaped desks run two motors and let the third corner ride along, which is where wobble and uneven travel come from at standing height — and it matters more on an L-shape than on a straight desk, because you are moving a much larger surface.
- Height range 600–1200 mm. The 600 mm minimum is lower than most adjustable desks manage — low enough for a child, or for anyone who finds a standard 720 mm desk sits too high

Laminate, honestly
The ErgoFlex top is a 25 mm laminate surface over a composite core. It resists scratches and spills, wipes clean, needs no oiling and holds its finish through Singapore's humidity.
The limitation is that damage is permanent. A deep scratch or a swollen edge cannot be sanded out the way it can on solid timber — you live with it or replace the top. If that matters more to you than colour, the Solid Wood L-Shape is the desk to look at. It comes in two finishes rather than a hundred, carries a 40 mm timber top instead of 25 mm laminate, and costs roughly twice as much. That is the trade.

Care
Laminate asks very little. Wipe spills promptly rather than letting liquid stand at an edge, since exposed edges are where composite cores take on moisture. Use coasters under hot drinks, and avoid abrasive cleaners, which dull the finish over time.
As with any desk, keep it out of the direct draught of an air-conditioning vent.
