Solid Rubberwood, Built for Singapore's Climate
The entire cabinet — top, sides, shelves, drawer and plinth base — is solid rubberwood, a dense plantation-grown hardwood with a Janka hardness of around 960 to 1,000 lbf. It holds its shape and its joints as humidity swings between air-conditioned interiors and monsoon afternoons, which is exactly what furniture two steps from the front door must do. The recessed plinth base keeps the cabinet grounded and stable, with no legs to catch a vacuum or a robot cleaner's sensor.

Every surface is sealed with a water-based paint finish: no strong paint smell, no off-gassing period, safe for occupied homes from the day it is installed. It is available in two finishes — natural wood, light and honey-toned for Scandinavian and Japandi interiors, and walnut, a richer mid-brown that anchors classic and contemporary rooms alike. The finish resists everyday knocks and wipes clean with a soft, damp cloth.
